TikTok has exploded in 2020 – gone from being a vaguely funny alternative app to making video shorts, TikTok is now a fully blown rival to all the other major social media platforms launching stars of their own.
A number of ordinary people have become household names after launching themselves as dancers, comedians or just trendsetters after the app climbed in popularity during the coronavirus lockdown.
TikTok is now so popular that a number of already-established famous faces are turning to the platform as another way to communicate and engage with their fans.
